These clients reached out to us for a whole basement remodel. They wanted a new bedroom and bathroom plus, additional recreation areas for ping pong and darts. We removed a load bearing wall to expand the space. Installing new LVT flooring really brought new life to the worn-out basement floors and we worked up from there, furring out all the walls to allow for more insulation behind fresh drywall and paint. The stairs were not up to code so we reworked the framing and installed new treads to match adjacent custom built-in shelving and mantel. The stair wall was opened up to showcase under stair storage, small cubby area, and new spindles. Ultimately, the space was wholly altered into a comfortable living space with a bedroom and bathroom in these wonderful client’s “forever home.”
