LWB Crew Lends a Hand at the Habitat Women Build

For the past several years, Habitat has invited the LWB crew to come in during various builds and frame up the roofs, which removes one of the more dangerous components of the construction process from the volunteer crews, as well as helps Habitat to expedite the build schedule on those projects. This year, Dan, Lloyd, Seth, Loren, Jake Loudenbarger, and Roux had the opportunity to help out on a sunny spring day, framing one of these roofs for the Women’s Build. Although we didn’t get pictures, Ben Farmer and Garrett came back the following day and wrapped it up.

The Monroe County Habitat affiliate works at the leading edge of the local efforts to eliminate poverty and to provide permanent housing and affordable homeownership opportunities in our community. We are so grateful for their work and grateful for the opportunities to be involved.

Check out their website if you want to learn more about how you can get involved and support Monroe County Habitat for Humanity.
