Remodel

Modern Kitchen Remodel

Our clients recently purchased their home in order to be closer to children and grandchildren. A tasteful one-level layout allows the homeowners to age-in-place with close access to amenities and family. Springpoint Architects and LWB were enlisted to modernize and expand the kitchen footprint.

Rake designed and installed a sleek maple and white cabinetry scheme with Cambria countertops. A highlight of this kitchen transition was the elimination of a dividing wall in favor of an island that opens into an updated living space. Carpets Plus Colortile installed the same prefinished hardwood flooring in the new kitchen and around the fireplace, that they had previously installed throughout the house.

Details brought this remodel together. A custom-milled poplar fireplace mantle complements the tasteful tile surround choice. LWB electrician Erik Weaver installed elegant under cabinet lighting and new living area fixtures. LWB carpenters Jess Harris, Jabez Harris, and Jesse Cooper handled the finishes from drywall to trim. The client choices concerning fixtures and heirloom furniture pieces tied the whole project together.

This was an incredibly rewarding project for all involved. It was fun to see this sensibly designed home get the stylish and functional update that the clients were seeking. This project was a wonderful example of clean design and intelligent use of space. We are so happy to have been a part of realizing our clients’ vision!
