Nathaniel Baker, Holiday Highlight!

LWB trim carpenter Nathaniel Baker joined the LWB team in fall of 2016. Nathaniel quickly distinguished himself among crew and clients alike with his attention to detail and thoughtful approach to his craft. We are proud and grateful to have Nathaniel on our crew.

Nathaniel’s family includes wife Amelia, son Ransom (2yrs) and four-month old son Sawyer. The Bakers have become LWB’s unofficial Christmas elves. As members of Clearnote Church in Bloomington, the Baker family has embraced the holiday spirit whole-heartedly by leading a decorating campaign for Clearnote’s Christmas celebrations. The highlight this season as been Nathaniel’s pallet-wood Christmas trees.

Using dunnage from the steel subfloor from a church addition project, and donated old pallets, Nathaniel created two 10 ft tall Christmas trees to decorate for the 11th annual Clearnote Christmas Sing-a-long. Nathaniel’s crew also made oversized snowflakes out of lathe material that were hung from the church trusses and which matched the trees. Nathaniel’s skills have given the hipster re-purposing aesthetic of pallet construction a true professional gleam. Reports are that the “Rustic Winter Wonderland” theme of this year’s Clearnote decorations has been a big hit with the congregation!

Clearnote Church is an important part of Nathaniel’s life. His father is an associate pastor and Dean of Clearnote Pastors College. Nathaniel helps in the nursery and on the mowing crew. He also brought his building skills to the construction of an 8000 square foot addition for classrooms and nursery space.

Happy Holidays to all LWB friends from the LWB crew and, especially, the Baker elves!
