We were contacted by this client to transform the main floor of their home by relocating the kitchen and guest bathroom. With design from Springpoint, we were tasked with changing the entire layout of the first floor. All new cabinetry from Stoll’s Woodworking in the kitchen and primary closet really helped finish the space. The granite countertops were hand-selected by the client and installed by D&L Granite after cabinetry installation. We love the waterfall on the central island!
One of the biggest changes was the guest bath being moved from a central location by the stairs to an outside wall. This, in conjunction with a new stair layout, provided a much more open feel to the living and dining area. This fresh take on the stairway was accentuated with custom steel rails fabricated by Clutch Fabrication. The hickory floors were installed and finished by Bruce Johnson.
A new solid core 4-foot sliding barn door separates the study from the living space elegantly and efficiently. New light fixtures help to modernize the living space. The end result is a home near unrecognizable from where we started. We are proud of the outcome of this refreshed main floor.
