Reynolds Road Remodel

Our client approached us with a vision to transform their outdated kitchen and dim great room, as well as revamp the outdoor area of their late 1970s home. Being an enthusiastic gardener, our client desired a kitchen that would offer panoramic views of their expansive five-acre property, a more functional deck layout, and a screened-in porch where they could immerse themselves in nature.

The existing kitchen felt like an afterthought in the home, closed off and wedged between living spaces. The reimagined kitchen boasts a thoughtful layout, featuring ample counter space, and optimally placed appliances. Custom vertical grain cherry cabinetry and shelving were installed to maximize storage capacity. The refinished oak floors balance the matte black Cambria Quartz countertops. Windows were added along the north wall of the kitchen, giving the user views of the property while doing dishes and prep work. Skylights were also added to increase natural light in this space.

Recognizing the client’s need for a larger living and dining space, we also embarked on expanding the great room. The ceiling was vaulted allowing for expansive windows on the east wall to become a focal point for this room’s redesign, flooding the space with natural light and offering stunning views of the client’s new pond. A ridge beam supporting the new roof matches the casement of the windows, tying the space together.

A new screened porch was added to the north side of the house, accessible by slider doors through the great room. This addition provides the perfect venue for relaxation, entertaining guests, and enjoying the beauty of nature.

We absolutely loved working with this client and are thrilled to have had the opportunity to help them feel closer to nature.
