South Shore

This is a home with an old steel building attached to it that had once functioned as a boat-storage facility on Lake Lemon. Our clients purchased it with the intent of sprucing up the home as a weekend lake-retreat, but with no real plans for the steel building. Initially, they were exploring even considering having it torn down. However, we saw a lot of potential in that space and encouraged them to keep it. We did end up renovating the majority of the existing home, but the most stunning part of this renovation was the conversion of a section of that steel building into an in-law suite and exterior porch space that looks over the lake. What was before an eye-sore is now the central entertaining and hanging out space in the home and anchors the entire back yard. We are thrilled with how it turned out and have even taken a few opportunities to gather there as a staff for some end of day meetings.
