YEAR IN REVIEW:
PROJECTS FROM 2025
In 2025, we had the opportunity to bring a wide range of projects to life, each with its own goals, challenges, and stories, but a few truly stood out. These highlighted projects reflect the work we’re most proud of for their craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and the collaborative relationships built not only with our clients, but also with the designers and trusted partners who worked alongside us. From complex builds to highly customized details, each one pushed us creatively and technically, reinforcing where our passion lies: high-design homes, careful attention to detail, and a patient, collaborative process that connects deeply with the people we’re building for. Together, these projects capture what design-build means to us and the level of care we bring to every home.
ENERGY-EFFICIENT MODERN HOME
Built on the north side of Bloomington, this new home showcases the kind of complex, high-efficiency residential construction that defines our work. The homeowners came to us after hearing from multiple sources that we were the right team to bring their vision to life. For the design scope, we recommended Springpoint Architects as a trusted partner who we believed shared the vision and values for the project. From there, we collaborated closely to build a modern, energy-efficient home that supports the needs of their family. The result is a seamless blend of thoughtful design and high-performance construction.
CAMERON AVENUE
This thoughtfully designed custom home in Bloomington’s Hoosier Acres neighborhood reflects a balance of family-centered living, long-term functionality, and refined craftsmanship. The clients approached us with a clear goal in mind: to create a welcoming home that could serve as a gathering place for their extended family during holidays and special events. Designed with aging in place in mind, the house brings together open, inviting spaces with the comfort and accessibility needed for the long term.
APPLEGATE BUILDING
Located on 6th Street in Bloomington, Indiana, the Applegate Building was a special project for our team. Originally built in 1939, the building was relocated in 1995 from what is now the site of the Downtown Monroe County Library. As part of the library’s development, it was carefully preserved and moved to its current site, where it was placed on a modern poured-concrete foundation with a new basement, setting the stage for the extensive remodel to come.
MID-CENTURY POOLHOUSE & CANTILEVER BAR
This 1960s mid-century ranch home in the historic Hoosier Acres neighborhood in Bloomington, Indiana, is being lovingly remodeled to honor its mid-century modern glory. From the start, our clients made it known they wanted to create a backyard destination more accommodating for larger groups of friends and family to enjoy in the summer months. They were seeking a thoughtful, highly curated pool house design that felt intentional and true to the home’s aesthetic and character. Bringing that level of detail into the build was a challenge we were eager to take on, and we’re grateful they trusted us to bring their vision to life.
FRAMED BY NATURE
Deep in the woods of Brown County, this home sits perched above the valley with expansive views of the surrounding wooded landscape. What began as a modest kitchen remodel grew into a whole-home renovation, honoring the residence’s Japanese-inspired architecture while opening the interior fully to its natural setting. The clients envisioned relocating the kitchen to a light-filled corner of the home, framed by glass on all sides. To make this possible, we worked with a structural engineer to carefully remove load-bearing walls and design the framing required for expansive new windows. Every decision centered on one priority: creating uninterrupted views of the woods from anywhere in the home.
CARMEL RIDGE RESTORATION
Tucked into 30+ wooded acres along State Road 45 in Nashville, Indiana, this historic farmhouse, originally built in the 1880s, was the starting point for a highly personal and detail-rich renovation. The homeowners approached us with a vision to reimagine their kitchen, rebuild a long-lost front porch, and create a program that would help guide future updates to the property. They were especially interested in maintaining the original character of the home while improving comfort, function, and flow. Among their goals: a kitchen that felt era-appropriate yet bright and modern, and a new south-facing porch built directly from a historic photograph and salvaged architectural fragments discovered on-site.
CLASSIC LOG CABIN REMODEL
This classic log home in Unionville, Indiana, was filled with charm and character but lacked the space and flow that our clients were seeking. Our team was brought in to design and construct a thoughtful expansion that would give them more room while preserving the character that made the home special. It was important to our clients to preserve as much of the original log cabin as possible. The remodel included a new custom home addition, office, a wraparound porch, a second-story build on the back of the house, an updated primary bathroom, a large exterior deck, and upstairs storage. We also transformed the original porch into a bright dining room with new lighting and large windows that now serve as the heart of the home.
LAKE MONROE OVERLOOK
Perched on a ridge overlooking Lake Monroe, this home offered an ideal location for our clients. Our team helped them envision several key improvements to make the residence truly their own. Our team touched nearly every level of the home in this full remodel, with a complete kitchen renovation, custom staircase and curved handrail, remodeled primary and upstairs baths, custom flooring, and a thoughtfully designed basement for visiting family and grandchildren.
